A Life Saved: Mabel’s Story

When Mabel was found as a stray in a remote FNQ community, she was severely malnourished and suffering from a life-threatening infection in her leg.

Thanks to donations like yours, RAA flew her into Cairns for urgent veterinary care, including the necessary amputation of her front leg.

Today, she is healthy, happy, and loved in her forever home. Your gift makes stories like Mabel’s possible.

FAQ

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes! All donations over $2 are tax-deductible in Australia. If you donate online, you’ll get a receipt automatically. If you donate by bank transfer, just email us your details and we’ll send one through.

Can I make a regular monthly gift?

Absolutely — and it’s one of the best ways to help. Both Stripe and PayPal let you set up recurring donations, so you can provide steady support all year round.

How do I get a receipt for a bank transfer?

Because bank deposits don’t include donor details, we can’t send receipts automatically. Just email us with your name, donation date, and amount — we’ll send you a receipt and a thank you.

Can I choose what my donation supports?

Yes! You can nominate an area you’d like to support (like vet care, flights, or desexing). Otherwise, your gift goes where it’s needed most.

Do you accept international donations?

Yes. Supporters outside Australia can donate easily through PayPal or Stripe.

I’d rather give items than money. Can I do that?

Of course. We gratefully accept food, bedding, medical supplies, and other essentials. Check out our current wish list for details.

Can my business or workplace support RAA?
